Dream. Design. Curious. is a curated journey into the minds of visionary design practitioners, crafted for Baatein, the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad’s platform for meaningful exchange. Translating to “conversation,” Baatein fosters a space for designers to explore the intersections of design, environment, and society. This publication captures and channels the essence of these exchanges, celebrating the profound impact of each speaker’s ideas and experiences. Through a blend of vibrant storytelling and reflective design, Dream. Design. Curious. embodies the transformative power of conversation, allowing readers to engage with the minds shaping the future of design.
Our approach emphasizes a systemic balance, where layout and typographic expression work in harmony to elevate the distinct voice of each contributor. Quotes from these conversations are not merely text but act as a navigational tool, forming an unconventional index that guides readers visually and conceptually through the content. The index itself is an interactive spread, a visual repository of insights that reflects the multifaceted nature of these dialogues.
Every section of the publication is dedicated to a single Baatein conversation, each imbued with colors directly extracted from session posters, visually uniting the publication while allowing each conversation to retain its own identity. This careful integration of design elements underscores the thematic richness and depth of Baatein, giving readers a structured yet intimate glimpse into the world of design’s thought leaders.
